Silent Witness for Climate Justice in Sedbergh
Inspired by the Kendal and Sedbergh Quakers meetings, we have started holding a Silent Witness for Climate Justice Meeting in Sedbergh.
Our first gathering was on Saturday, 24 May, to coincide with the Artisan market. A good number of people turned out to help raise awareness for Climate Justice, and some passers-by also stopped for a few minutes to join us in our vigil.
We use the gathering to express our shared concern about climate change. Some use the time for reflection, others for silent prayer, but together we want to demonstrate our concern for those most affected by climate change.
