David Wilkinson is Professor of Theology and Religion at Durham University and Director of Equipping Christian Leadership in an Age of Science at St John’s College where he was Principal until 2023. He has been an astrophysicist and then a church leader in inner city Liverpool. He has PhDs in both science and theology. His current work is on the relationship of theology to contemporary culture, from science to pop culture. He is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4’s Thought for the Day.
